400,000 Belgium digital TV customers for Telenet

January 22, 2016

Following a concerted campaign at the end of 2015, Belgian cable company Telenet has passed the milestone of 400,000 digital television customers.

Telenet has now nearly one out of four analog television customers in Belgium, excluding the former UPC Belgium area, where iDTV was introduced only in the middle of last year.

Jo Van Gorp, Telenet’s Executive Vice President Residential Marketing, regards this as a very good result, especially when the numbers are put into the perspective of Telenet only offering iDTV services in 40% of Belgium.

Telenet remains committed to innovate its content offering. From today, the Flemish movie ‘Vermist’ will be made available in its Video-on-Demand library while it is still running in movie theatres. Again, this is a narrowing of the usual broadcast window and improves 2015’s record of the movie ‘300’ that was released in Video-on-Demand and for sale on the same day.
